Please note that a new Immigration Act entered into force on 1 January 2024.
The procedure for applications for residence and permanent residence permits submitted before the entry into force of this Act will be suspended between 1 January 2024 and 29 February 2024.

Under subsection (2) of the Act, between 1 January 2024 and 29 February 2024: 1. applications for residence permits, except applications for residence permits issued in the national interest, 2. applications for a permanent residence permit and for a residence card under this Act, except applications for a national residence card issued in the national interest may not be submitted. Under subsection (3) of the Act, the validity of residence permits and permanent residence permits expiring between 1 January 2024 and 29 February 2024 is extended until 30 April 2024.
